Cathay Airways is expanding connectivity between Singapore and Kazakhstan with a new connection to Almaty via Hong Kong. The service is set to create greater opportunities for business and tourism between the two destinations.
Cathay Airways has introduced a new flight connection linking Singapore with Almaty, Kazakhstan, via Hong Kong, providing travellers with an additional option for reaching Central Asia. The new route is expected to support growing travel, business and tourism links between Singapore and Kazakhstan.
Under the new connection, flights between Hong Kong and Almaty will operate three times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The service offers travellers a convenient transit point in Hong Kong before continuing their journey to Kazakhstan’s largest city.

The new connection comes as Kazakhstan continues to attract international visitors with its diverse landscapes, cultural heritage and growing business opportunities. Almaty, the country’s largest city, serves as an important commercial and cultural hub, as well as a gateway to Kazakhstan’s scenic mountain regions and wider Central Asia.
For travellers from Singapore, the new connection provides greater accessibility to Kazakhstan, while strengthening links between Singapore, Hong Kong and Almaty. The service is expected to encourage further business exchanges, tourism activity and people-to-people connections between Singapore and Kazakhstan.
