Malaysia’s ambassador engages officials and industry leaders at Passenger Terminal Expo Asia launch.
H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, engaged government leaders and industry representatives at the Grand Launch of Passenger Terminal Expo Asia on 28 September 2026 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore. The event provided an opportunity for discussions on bilateral issues, developments in the aviation and passenger terminal sector, and regional connectivity, including the upcoming Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link between Malaysia and Singapore.
During the event, H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin exchanged information on bilateral issues with Mr. Murali Pillai, Senior Minister of State for Law and Transport of Singapore. She also shared updates on Malaysia’s latest industry developments with Datuk Wira Song Hoi See, Chief Executive Officer of Plaza Premium Group.
Other participants included a representative of the Assistant Permanent Secretary of Thailand’s Ministry of Transport and a representative from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
Passenger Terminal Expo Asia (PTEAsia) held its inaugural event in Singapore this year, bringing together representatives from the passenger terminal, transport and aviation sectors. The organiser also indicated that it was exploring the possibility of taking the event to other destinations in ASEAN.
Discussions at the event included developments in passenger terminal innovation and regional transport connectivity. The upcoming RTS Link between Malaysia and Singapore was also referenced as an area of bilateral relevance, reflecting the continued attention given to connectivity between the two countries.
The participation of Malaysia’s High Commissioner provided an opportunity to exchange views with Singapore government representatives and industry leaders on developments relevant to Malaysia-Singapore relations and the passenger terminal sector.
The event also provided a platform for engagement with representatives from Thailand and Singapore’s civil aviation authorities, extending the discussion to regional transport and aviation developments. With PTEAsia considering future editions in other ASEAN destinations, the inaugural Singapore event highlighted the organiser’s interest in expanding its regional presence.
