H.E. Cao Zhongming highlighted the role of Traditional Chinese Medicine in fostering Sino-Singapore relations during the global congress and the 80th anniversary of the Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association.
From 16 to 18 October 2026, H.E. Cao Zhongming, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Singapore, attended the Opening Ceremony of the 23rd World Congress of Chinese Medicine. Held at the Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore, the prestigious event also featured a Gala Dinner celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association.
During the congress, Ambassador Cao engaged in in-depth exchanges with local practitioners and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) experts from around the globe. He emphasised that TCM is a shining treasure of China’s millennia-old civilisation, serving as a vital bridge for people-to-people connectivity and livelihood-focused cooperation between China and Singapore.
By bringing together global wisdom and industry strengths, the congress provided an exceptional platform to discuss the future of the field. Ambassador Cao noted that such international gatherings are crucial for driving the internationalisation, standardisation, and modernisation of Traditional Chinese Medicine on a global scale.
