Singapore investors explore opportunities in logistics, semiconductors, data centres, green energy and sustainable infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met a 14-member high-level Singapore business delegation in Lucknow to discuss investment opportunities and expand economic cooperation between Uttar Pradesh and Singapore. Led by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the delegation comprised senior business leaders and investors exploring opportunities in strategic sectors, including logistics, semiconductors, data centres, green energy, urban planning and hospitality.

During the meeting, memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were exchanged with leading global companies in agriculture, food processing and sustainable waste management to support new investments in the Indian state.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recalled that investment agreements worth approximately ₹60,000 crore had been agreed during his visit to Singapore in February 2026. He also highlighted the Uttar Pradesh Government’s commitment to the principles of Safety, Stability and Speed, which were presented to investors during the Singapore investment roadshow.
He emphasised that the government’s priority was to translate investment proposals into operational projects and begin production. The state government would continue to support investors throughout the implementation process, from the signing of MoUs and manufacturing preparations to groundbreaking ceremonies and production.
To advance the Uttar Pradesh-Singapore economic partnership, the Chief Minister outlined six priority areas for investment. These included developing multimodal logistics and warehousing facilities around the Jewar region, expressways and freight corridors; establishing semiconductor fabrication facilities and expanding high-tech manufacturing in electronics; and developing data centres, cloud services and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Clean technology was another priority, particularly solar energy, green hydrogen, sustainable waste management and water recycling. These sectors were identified as opportunities for Singapore companies to participate in Uttar Pradesh’s industrial and infrastructure development.
The discussions highlighted opportunities for Singapore businesses to explore investments in Uttar Pradesh, with the state government seeking to accelerate the implementation of previously agreed proposals and facilitate new projects in strategic industries.
