“Glacier Dreams” by Refik Anadol
“Trumpet Flowers” by Amigo & Amigo

One of the standout installations, “Glacier Dreams” by Refik Anadol, in collaboration with Julius Baer and Marina Bay Sands, will grace the façade of the ArtScience Museum. This groundbreaking project, born out of extensive research involving machine learning, environmental studies, and multi-sensory media art, draws inspiration from the beauty and fragility of glaciers. Visitors can expect a visually stunning display that aims to raise awareness about the urgent need for environmental preservation.

Another intriguing installation, “Trumpet Flowers” by Amigo & Amigo from Australia, presented by The Fullerton Heritage, invites visitors to partake in a unique floral symphony. Inspired by gramophones, this interactive installation allows participants to create melodies and manipulate towering musical and light instruments using interactive keys. By engaging with this harmonious creation, visitors become active participants in the artistic experience.

“Prism” by Jun Ong

Jun Ong, from Malaysia, presents “Prism” at Millenia Walk, presented by Millenia Walk itself. This immersive installation harnesses the power of both natural and artificial light to create a mesmerizing interplay of colors and spatial perception. Composed of numerous truncated pyramids, Prism boasts dynamic and translucent colored surfaces that transition from natural light shafts during the day to glowing beacons of interactive artificial lighting at night. This installation aims to captivate audiences with its ever-changing beauty while encouraging reflection on the potential of sustainable lighting solutions.

These are just a few highlights from the extensive lineup of mesmerizing light art installations showcased at i Light Singapore 2023.
