Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya visits Ayushman Bhav Health Pavilion, distributing Ayushman cards and emphasizing the importance of healthcare accessibility.

The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, underscored the significance of accessible healthcare during his visit to the Ayushman Bhav Health Pavilion at the 42nd India International Trade Fair held at Pragati Maidan today.

The theme of this year’s Trade Fair, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, United by Trade,” resonates with the collaborative spirit of international trade, while the Health Pavilion focuses on the mantra “Ayushman Bhava.”

Dr. Mandaviya engaged with various stalls and booths at the Health Pavilion, applauding the government’s health initiatives showcased there. The pavilion employed diverse methods, such as street plays (nukkad natak), games, quizzes, and representatives answering public queries, to raise awareness about healthcare.

Active participation characterized Dr. Mandaviya’s visit as he immersed himself in interactive activities at different health booths. The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission booth drew his attention, where he reflected on the valuable services and information provided for the public.

One notable initiative was the distribution of Ayushman cards at the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana stall. These cards, distributed by Dr. Mandaviya, play a crucial role in facilitating the last-mile delivery of free healthcare benefits to the underprivileged.

The Union Health Minister also visited the Jan Aushadhi stall, encouraging visitors to opt for generic drugs available at these stores throughout the country. The emphasis on affordable healthcare echoed in his interactions with the public.

Appreciating the efforts of The Tribes stall, Dr. Mandaviya commended their work in promoting indigenous weaves and fabrics from different states. Ms. Ankita Bundela, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, accompanied by senior government officials, also graced the occasion.
