Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia M. Herindra attends the biennial Singapore Airshow 2024, focusing on defense cooperation and showcasing Indonesian aerospace capabilities.
DEPUTY Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia M. Herindra, participated in the Singapore Airshow (SAS) 2024 exhibition at the Changi Exhibition Centre, Singapore, on Tuesday, 20 February 2024. The SAS, held every two years, took place from 20-25 February 2024.
During the opening ceremony, Guests of Honor Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Finance, Mr. Chee Hong Tat, and Senior Minister of State for Defense, Mr. Heng Chee How, cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the Singapore Airshow 2024 exhibition. Deputy Minister of Defense M. Herindra inspected various aerospace stands, including Airbus, Thales, Safran, Bell Helicopters, Boeing, F-15 Simulator, and Lockheed Martin.
The Singapore Airshow 2024, the largest exhibition in Asia, brought together more than 1,000 companies and 50 countries to unite aerospace industry stakeholders, promote innovation, facilitate business cooperation, and introduce the latest technology.
Indonesia showcased the Jupiter Aerobatic Team (JAT) at the Singapore Airshow, demonstrating Indonesian aerobatic skills with an impressive High Show featuring 11 amazing movements. The event also featured aerobatic displays from Singapore, including fighter jets, helicopters, Boeing transport planes, and Chinese aircraft.
On the same day, Deputy Minister of Defense M. Herindra held a courtesy meeting with the Senior Minister of the State Ministry for Defense of the Republic of Singapore, Mr. Zaqy Mohamad. The meeting focused on continuing and enhancing cooperation in the defense sector, as well as collaboration in military education and training.
