Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) Mr. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal and Director General of Singapore Customs Mr. Tan Hung Hooi recently signed a Joint Action Plan for the Authorized Economic Operator Mutual Recognition Arrangement (AEO-MRA) between India and Singapore. The virtual signing ceremony marks a significant milestone in enhancing supply chain security and trade facilitation between the two countries.
The AEO-MRA is designed to streamline customs procedures and improve trade efficiency by allowing for the mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs) from India and Singapore. This agreement underscores the commitment of both nations to bolstering trade ties and fostering economic growth through increased cooperation.
