The Chairman, Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs and Director General of Singapore Customs signed the Joint Action Plan

The Chairman of CBIC and Director General of Singapore Customs virtually signed the agreement to boost supply chain security and trade facilitation.
In a significant move aimed at enhancing supply chain security and trade facilitation between India and Singapore, Chairman CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs), Mr. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, and Director General of Singapore Customs, Mr. Tan Hung Hooi, virtually signed the Joint Action Plan for phased negotiations of the Authorized Economic Operator Mutual Recognition Arrangement (AEO-MRA).
The AEO-MRA represents a commitment to mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs) between the two countries, fostering closer ties and smoother trade relations.
This strategic arrangement is set to bolster supply chain security measures while streamlining trade processes, ensuring efficient and reliable movement of goods between India and Singapore.
The signing ceremony, which took place virtually, highlights the dedication of both nations to promote seamless trade operations and reinforce the integrity of their respective supply chains.
