Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan hosts its Indian counterpart, highlighting warm bilateral ties and cooperation.

SINGAPORE’S Minister for Foreign Affairs, Vivian Balakrishnan, welcomed Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to Singapore, emphasizing the strong and warm ties between the two countries. The visit from 23rd to 25th March 2024 underscores the cooperation between Singapore and India in areas such as skills development and digitalization and their close people-to-people links.

During their meeting, the ministers discussed various regional and global developments, expressing satisfaction with the progress of bilateral cooperation. Both sides highlighted the importance of maintaining regular exchanges to strengthen the relationship further.

Minister Balakrishnan expressed his pleasure in welcoming Dr. Jaishankar to Singapore and looks forward to future meetings. He wished Dr. Jaishankar a productive and successful visit to Singapore. During his visit Minister Jaishankar cqlled on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong, and Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean, Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong, and Minister for Home Affairs and Law K Shanmugam.
