Singapore and Indonesia Strengthen Economic Ties Through Strategic Business Forum
Singapore, March 27, 2024 – The Indonesia-Singapore Business Forum (ISBF) 2024, hosted at the Hilton Singapore Orchard, marked a significant stride in reinforcing economic relations between Indonesia and Singapore. This event, occurring just after the announcement of Indonesia’s 2024 Presidential Election results, served as a pivotal platform for Singapore-based businesses to gain insights into Indonesia’s future policy directions.
The forum was a collaborative effort involving the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC)-Singapore, Enterprise Singapore, and various corporate and chamber sponsors. Notably, it attracted 400 participants, including business leaders, government officials, and international ambassadors, emphasizing the event’s importance in fostering Singapore-Indonesia economic collaboration.
Ambassador Suryo Pratomo highlighted the enduring partnership between the two nations, noting Singapore’s role as a leading investor in Indonesia. The forum’s discussions, led by prominent figures such as Airlangga Hartarto and Gan Kim Yong, the economic ministers from Indonesia and Singapore respectively, underscored the commitment to deepening bilateral investment and business opportunities.
