
H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Thailand’s Ambassador to Singapore, attended ART SG 2025, highlighting Thai contemporary artists’ contributions during Singapore Art Week.
Singapore, 16 January 2025 – In a celebration of cultural vibrancy and artistic innovation, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, attended the exclusive preview session of ART SG 2025, Singapore’s premier visual arts fair. The event is a cornerstone of Singapore Art Week 2025, which runs from 17 to 26 January, showcasing a fusion of creativity, culture, and diversity.
The highlight of the preview was the success of renowned Thai artists and galleries on the international art scene. Celebrated names such as Mr. Rirkrit Tiravanija, Mr. Korakrit Arunanondchai, Mr. Mit Jai Inn, Ms. Pinaree Sanpitak, Mr. Nawin Nuthong, Mr. Naraphat Sakarthornsap, and Mr. Nakrob Moonmanas captivated attendees with their thought-provoking pieces. The exhibition underscored the dynamism and global appeal of Thai contemporary art.

ART SG 2025 serves as a platform for bridging cultures, fostering dialogue, and propelling Southeast Asian art onto the global stage. Thai galleries presented innovative works that blend traditional Thai aesthetics with modern narratives, reflecting the rich heritage and forward-thinking creativity of the nation’s artists.
Ambassador Ureerat Chareontoh expressed pride in the representation of Thailand at ART SG, emphasising the importance of arts and culture in building connections and mutual understanding. “Thai contemporary art is a testament to our rich culture and creativity. ART SG is an invaluable platform to share this with the world and strengthen cultural ties,” she remarked.
Beyond the Thai exhibits, ART SG 2025 features over 150 leading galleries from around the world, offering an immersive experience of visual arts across various mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, and digital installations. Singapore Art Week 2025 complements the event with citywide art installations, workshops, and interactive programmes, making it a must-visit cultural extravaganza.
As part of the celebration, attendees are invited to explore Thai culture through special talks and live demonstrations hosted by participating galleries, further enriching the understanding of the stories behind the artworks.
