His Excellency President Tharman Shanmugarathman hosted the President’s Annual Diplomatic Reception at the Istana, honoring the diplomatic corps for their role in fostering strong international relations.
The President of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Tharman Shanmugarathman, hosted his first President’s Annual Diplomatic Reception (PADR) since his election. The event, held at the Istana, the official residence and office of the President of Singapore, was attended by all Heads of Missions and representatives of international organizations accredited to Singapore.
The PADR is organized annually to express appreciation for the diplomatic corps’ efforts in building strong relations with their respective countries and international organizations. It serves as a platform to strengthen ties and promote mutual understanding.
The reception featured a selection of the finest cuisines from Singapore, complemented by a variety of wines from around the world, including wines from South Africa. In line with Singaporean tradition, the menu also included durian, known as the king of fruits.
