Ministers Ong Ye Kung and Chee Hong Tat Visit Istana Bukit Serene to Celebrate Ties with Johor
On April 10, 2024, Singapore’s Minister for Health, Ong Ye Kung, and Minister for Transport, Chee Hong Tat, were present at the Hari Raya Open House hosted by His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail, the Regent of Johor, at the Istana Bukit Serene. The event provided an opportunity to celebrate and reaffirm the strong and historic ties between Singapore and Johor.
During the visit, both ministers were hosted to lunch by His Royal Highness, where they exchanged Hari Raya greetings and well wishes with the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah.
This visit continues the longstanding tradition of Singapore’s leaders participating in the Johor royal family’s annual Hari Raya Open House, reflecting the enduring relationship between Singapore and Johor.
