Ambassador Ureerat Chareontoh of Thailand welcomed 16 NUS students to the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, highlighting Thailand-Singapore cooperation and the importance of sustainability.

Singapore, 3 July 2024 – H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, the Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, welcomed 16 students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) who are participating in the “Sustainability in Southeast Asia: Study Trip to Thailand” course. The course is led by Professor Seow Teck Keong.

During the event, Ambassador Ureerat emphasized the strong and cordial relationship between Thailand and Singapore, which spans various areas of cooperation at bilateral, ASEAN, and multilateral levels. She highlighted the shared views and collaborative efforts between the two nations, particularly in capacity building to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The NUS students had the opportunity to visit the Exhibition on the Royal Initiatives at the Royal Thai Embassy’s hall. This exhibition commemorates the Auspicious Occasion of the Celebrations of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 28th July 2024. The display features Thailand’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP), showcasing the Royal Initiatives Development Projects and their positive impact on communities and the people of Thailand.
