High Commissioner Mohamed Luveiz formally presented his credentials to President Tharman Shanmugaratnam at Istana on July 23rd, 2024

THE new High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Singapore, Mr. Mohamed Luveiz, presented his credentials to Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore, in a ceremony held at Istana, the Presidential Palace of Singapore on July 23rd, 2024.

During the subsequent meeting, High Commissioner Luveiz conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, to President Shanmugaratnam. He extended wishes for President Shanmugaratnam’s good health and happiness, as well as for peace, prosperity, and happiness for the people of Singapore.

President Shanmugaratnam congratulated the High Commissioner on his appointment and assured him of the full support and cooperation of the Government of Singapore in fulfilling his responsibilities. High Commissioner Luveiz expressed his gratitude to the people and Government of Singapore for their ongoing support and reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by his spouse, Ms. Khadheeja Mufliha, and Second Secretaries, Mr. Abdulla Aruham and Ms. Jalala Saleem of the High Commission of Maldives in Singapore.
