Minister Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef met with key Singaporean companies to discuss logistics, engineering technology, and industrial zone development as part of his East Asia economic tour.
Singapore, 2 September 2024 – Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, engaged in significant discussions with several leading Singaporean companies today. The meetings, held during his official visit to Singapore, focused on enhancing cooperation in logistic services, engineering technology, and the development of industrial zones, with an aim to explore potential investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
Minister Alkhorayef began his day by meeting with executives from the DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center, where the dialogue centered around collaboration in logistic services. Following this, he held discussions with Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd. (ST Engineering) on investment prospects in crucial industrial sectors. Additionally, he met with representatives from JTC Corporation to explore the development of industrial zones and infrastructure within the Kingdom.
Throughout these engagements, Minister Alkhorayef emphasized the attractive investment opportunities Saudi Arabia offers across various industrial and logistic sectors. He highlighted the Kingdom’s strategic geographical position, which serves as a gateway connecting three continents, and detailed the incentives and robust capabilities available to investors. The Minister reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering strong international partnerships and attracting foreign investments, particularly in the industrial and technological sectors.
These meetings are part of Minister Alkhorayef’s broader economic tour of East Asia, which includes stops in Singapore and China. The tour is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, attracting high-quality investments to Saudi Arabia, and exploring mutual investment opportunities in the industrial sector.
