Ambassador Ureerat Chareontoh presides over the Thai Labour Sports Day, fostering community spirit and healthy living among Thai workers in Singapore.
ON September 22, 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Singapore, officiated the opening ceremony of the Thai Labour Sports Day 2024 at Sembawang Recreation Centre. The event, organized by the Thai Labour Office in Singapore, gathered approximately 150 Thai workers who competed in a variety of sports including tug of war, chair ball, futsal, relay race, and sprint race.
In her address, Ambassador Chareontoh expressed her gratitude to the agencies involved in organizing the event, especially the Thai Labour Office, which played a key role in coordinating the day’s activities. She highlighted the Royal Thai Embassy’s pride in supporting this initiative, which not only promoted physical health but also offered an opportunity for Thai workers to participate in creative and competitive activities. The event served as a platform to strengthen bonds within the Thai community in Singapore, fostering unity, camaraderie, and a sense of belonging for the participants.
The Thai Labour Sports Day provided an uplifting environment for workers to stay active and connect with fellow compatriots through friendly competition, reflecting the Thai community’s commitment to well-being and mutual support while working abroad.
