Singapore, 28 September 2024 – The Asia-Europe Cultural Festival 2024 is ongoing its 6th edition in Singapore with a series of performances and exhibitions from 27th to 29th September at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.
The Asia-Europe Cultural Festival (AECFest) is currently taking place in Singapore for its 6th edition, marking its conclusion with events from 27th to 29th September 2024 at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. Organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) with financial backing from the European Union, Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of Italy in Singapore, the festival offers an array of cultural performances spanning diverse disciplines.
One of the main highlights, VECTOR#5: Psychogeographies, takes place on 28th and 29th September 2024. This multidisciplinary exhibition is presented by Dance Nucleus in collaboration with ASEF. The exhibition features contemporary performances and time-based art, showcasing works from artists across Singapore, Germany, Spain, and Italy. The event continues today and tomorrow, bringing together creative minds from across the continents.
Italian artist Pietro Marullo plays a key role in the festival, with his work featured in several performances and installations. His WRECK – List of Extinct Species, performed alongside five local artists, captivates audiences with contemporary dance performances on 28th and 29th September. Additionally, his video installation, Trilogy of the Species, runs simultaneously with visual installations and live performances, engaging audiences with a blend of digital and live art.
The Asia-Europe Cultural Festival, which has been held annually since 2018, highlights the cultural exchanges between Asia and Europe, fostering artistic collaborations and cultural diversity. VECTOR#5’s free entry enables art enthusiasts to experience this rich blend of creative expression.
