During the Singapore International Cyber Week 2024, India discussed the challenges of keeping tech regulation aligned with innovation, emphasising the need for stronger digital governance

Singapore, 16 October 2024 – At the opening plenary of the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) 2024, India raised critical questions about whether current technology regulations are keeping pace with the rapid advancements in innovation. 

Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) 2024, held on 14th to 17th October 2024, Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore, brought together global leaders, policymakers, and technology experts to explore key issues in cybersecurity and digital governance. The event served as a platform to share insights on how nations can collaborate to address global cybersecurity challenges while fostering technological growth.

India highlighted its efforts to strengthen regulatory frameworks in response to growing technological advancements. The country’s representatives underscored the importance of balancing progress with privacy and security. This proactive approach aims to ensure that India’s digital landscape remains secure and conducive to innovation.
