Minister Counsellor Suwannee Arunsawadiwong greeted a delegation from Thailand’s NSTDA and Horwang School, highlighting Singapore’s technological advancements and fostering diplomatic cooperation during the 7th International STEAM Camp.

SINGAPORE, 15 October 2024 – The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore welcomed a delegation from the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), along with teachers and students from Horwang School, as part of the 7th International STEAM Camp. Ms. Suwannee Arunsawadiwong, Minister Counsellor and Head of Chancery, represented the Ambassador in hosting the group.

During the visit, Minister Counsellor Suwannee provided an insightful overview of Singapore’s political, economic, and social landscape, with a special focus on the nation’s technological progress. She highlighted how technology plays a pivotal role in driving societal development and fostering innovation. Additionally, she discussed the role of diplomats and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in building cross-sectoral cooperation between countries.

As part of the 7th International STEAM Camp, the students and teachers will participate in hands-on activities and educational exchanges at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) on 16-17 October 2024. These engagements are aimed at enhancing their understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education, promoting international collaboration in these fields.
