The latest exhibition at SAM explores the body as a living archive through immersive artworks and engaging programmes, running from 25 October to 24 November 2024.
The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) has unveiled its newest exhibition, Lost & Found: Embodied Archive, part of the broader Lost & Found curatorial project running from 2024 to 2026. This exhibition features nine artworks by seven emerging and established contemporary artists, including both iconic works from the National Collection and a newly commissioned piece. Audiences are invited to explore the concept of the body as a living archive that accumulates past experiences and present sensations. The works foster meaningful engagement through choreographed encounters, offering insight into the artists’ process-driven, research-based, and durational approaches.
Running from 25 October to 24 November 2024 at SAM at Tanjong Distripark, Lost & Found: Embodied Archive will also be accompanied by a series of supplementary programmes. These include performances, workshops, talks, and screenings designed to create a dynamic and reflective space that encourages physicality and movement, enriching the visitor experience as the exhibition evolves.
