Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&NHB) is making a significant move into Malaysia’s fresh milk industry with the establishment of an integrated dairy farm in Gemas, Negeri Sembilan. The RM1.7 billion investment is a key step in the Group’s vision to become one of the country’s largest milk producers, reinforcing the national dairy sector and strengthening food security.

Spanning 2,726 hectares, the F&N Agrivalley farm is expected to reach full production in five years under Phase 1, with an annual output of 100 million litres of fresh milk. Over the next decade, the facility will house up to 20,000 milking cows, with a target production of 200 million litres per year to serve both domestic and international markets. The farm will feature co-located processing and packaging facilities, ensuring efficient distribution while maintaining high-quality standards.

The initiative aligns with Malaysia’s National Agrofood Policy 2021-2030 (NAP 2.0) and the National Food Security Policy Action Plan 2021-2025, supporting the goal of increasing the country’s fresh milk self-sufficiency level from the current 64% by 2025. As part of the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030, the project contributes to the transformation of Malaysia’s agribusiness sector into a high-value, technology-driven industry.

Beyond economic benefits, the farm prioritises sustainability by incorporating green technology in line with the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR). It also fosters local employment, with a workforce of 380 people, 91% of whom are Malaysians, across farming, manufacturing, and managerial roles. By integrating sustainable practices, F&NHB aims to support Malaysia’s green agenda while driving innovation and growth in the dairy industry.
