Ms. Veronica Tan, Deputy Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) of Indonesia, participated as a VIP and speaker at the 16th Ageing Asia Innovation Forum 2025. The event was held on 8 April 2025 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, attracting leaders and professionals from around the world to discuss innovations for improving the lives of the elderly.

The forum served as a major international platform for policymakers, innovators, and industry experts to explore emerging solutions and technologies that address the needs of ageing populations. Ms. Tan contributed to the dialogue by highlighting the importance of inclusive and gender-responsive policies for elder care, especially in ensuring the well-being of older women.

Drawing from her experience in gender equality, public policy, and social empowerment, Ms. Tan underscored the need for collaborative efforts to develop sustainable support systems for the elderly. She also emphasised Indonesia’s commitment to creating a more inclusive society where elderly individuals can lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.

Her participation strengthened regional collaboration and provided valuable insights into how innovation and policy can work hand in hand to address the challenges of an ageing society in Asia.
