A cultural and botanical showcase unfolds at Gardens by the Bay, highlighting the tulip’s historical roots in the East of Türkiye.

Visitors to Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay are invited to immerse themselves in a celebration of history, heritage, and horticulture as Tulipmania 2025 returns from 17 April to 12 May 2025. Held at the Flower Dome, this year’s exhibition is presented in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Singapore, spotlighting the tulip’s ancient origins in the eastern reaches of Türkiye.

This year’s edition is more than just a floral display — it is a journey back to where it all began. Wild tulips, blooming across the rugged terrain of eastern Türkiye, are believed to be the ancestral flowers that sparked centuries of tulip cultivation and admiration. Visitors can wander through artistically curated landscapes inspired by these native blooms, alongside immersive exhibits detailing the cultural significance of the tulip through Türkiye’s long and layered history.

From the Seljuks and Ottomans to modern-day Türkiye, the exhibition explores how diverse civilisations have revered the tulip as a symbol of beauty, life, and unity. The display is interwoven with elements of traditional Turkish art, design, and storytelling, offering guests not only visual splendour but also a rich educational experience.

Organised annually, Tulipmania has become a signature spring event in Singapore’s cultural calendar. This year’s Türkiye-focused edition offers a deeper narrative — one that connects Asia to Europe, botany to history, and tradition to contemporary appreciation. It is a testament to how a single flower can bridge cultures and time.

The Gardens by the Bay and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye extend their warm welcome to all visitors, inviting them to rediscover the charm and heritage of the tulip in a one-of-a-kind experience that transcends borders.
