Singapore’s Changi Airport welcomed over 6.16 million passengers in January 2025 and unveiled an innovative fitness and entertainment zone to elevate the traveller experience.
Singapore’s Changi Airport marked a major milestone by handling 6.16 million passengers in January 2025, making it the first time that monthly traffic exceeded 6 million passengers outside of the traditional December peak period. This achievement reflects the airport’s sustained recovery and growing popularity as a global aviation hub.

Adding to the excitement, Changi Airport unveiled a brand-new wellness and recreation facility – the Fit&Fun Zone – located in the transit area of Terminal 2. Officially launched in January 2025, the Fit&Fun Zone is a first-of-its-kind installation in any airport, combining fitness and play in a vibrant 400-square-metre space designed to help passengers unwind, energise, and reset during their journey.
Spanning five themed zones, each inspired by emotions often experienced while travelling, the Fit&Fun Zone invites passengers to swing on pendulum chairs in the calming Green Zone, punch soft Spar Pods in the cathartic Orange Zone, and build strength with interactive levers in the Pink Zone. Meanwhile, the Yellow Zone’s musical trampolines offer an entertaining cardio boost, and the Blue Zone presents a rope maze to test agility and coordination.

This immersive space is designed for all ages and fitness levels, and is accessible throughout the day. Located just above the Dreamscape garden in Terminal 2, travellers can reach it via the escalator to Level 3. The Fit&Fun Zone complements other wellness offerings across Changi Airport, including yoga and spa experiences at Jewel Changi Airport, as well as curated aromatherapy products available through iShopChangi.
As Changi Airport continues to enhance passenger engagement with unique attractions, the Fit&Fun Zone reinforces its commitment to redefining air travel by making transit not only convenient, but also truly enjoyable.
