Vietnamese province pitches high-tech, tourism, and renewable energy opportunities at well-attended event in Singapore
It was a full house at the recent Vietnam–Singapore Investment Promotion Seminar hosted by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) in collaboration with the Embassy of Vietnam in Singapore and the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee. The event spotlighted Khánh Hòa Province as an emerging investment hub in Vietnam, inviting Singaporean businesses to explore opportunities in high-tech industries, tourism, solar, and offshore wind energy.
Mr. Christanto Suryadarma, Council Member and Chairman of SMF’s Electrical, Electronics and Allied Industries Group, opened the seminar by highlighting the strong and growing ties between Singapore and Vietnam.
“Your presence here underscores the importance of our bilateral relationship,” he told the audience. “Even amid global challenges, our collaboration continues to create opportunities for shared growth.”

He outlined Singapore’s focus on sustainability, automation, and workforce upskilling, noting, “By supporting technology-driven SMEs, we are building a resilient, future-ready ecosystem.” With manufacturing contributing over 22% of Singapore’s GDP, he said the nation stands out as one of the few global economies still committed to industrial development.

Vietnam’s Ambassador to Singapore, H.E. Tran Phuoc Anh, underscored Khánh Hòa’s strategic location and investor-friendly reforms.
“Khánh Hòa is more than a coastal province—it’s a launchpad for global business,” he said. “With ports, an international airport, and rich renewable energy potential, it offers an ideal base for investment.”
He also shared Vietnam’s plan to cut 20% of administrative procedures to ease operations for foreign and domestic businesses.
“Our newly upgraded Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Singapore sets the stage for deep and diverse cooperation,” he added.
Leading the provincial delegation, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, was accompanied by 98 companies. Their participation was a clear signal of Vietnam’s commitment to forging strong partnerships.
“From clean agriculture to green energy, smart tourism to industrial innovation, Khánh Hòa is ready to collaborate with Singapore,” he affirmed.
With its natural advantages and a clear economic vision, Khánh Hòa is positioning itself as a gateway to Vietnam’s future. For Singaporean businesses, the message was clear: now is the time to explore and invest.
