Entrepreneurs attending Thai Festival 2025 gain insights into business and tourism opportunities in Singapore through a dedicated seminar and networking session.

On 22 May 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore organised a seminar titled “Unlocking the Singapore Market: Opportunities for Thai Entrepreneurs” alongside a networking reception for participants of Thai Festival 2025. The event was brought together Thai entreprenurs to explore avenues for expanding Thai businesses into the Singaporean market.

Her Excellency Ms Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, delivered the opening remarks. She warmly welcomed all participants and expressed her appreciation for their active involvement. Ambassador Ureerat highlighted the Thai Festival’s role not only as a celebration of culture but also as a strategic platform for promoting economic linkages and empowering SMEs to test and grow their presence in international markets like Singapore.

The seminar included a keynote presentation by Ms Natama Koonpol, Director of the Thai Trade Office in Singapore, who spoke on the potential and challenges of entering the Singaporean market. She emphasised that product quality, hygiene standards, price competitiveness, and adherence to local import regulations are key to gaining consumer trust and building long-term business success. Ms Koonpol also underscored the importance of using the Thai Festival as an opportunity to conduct live market research and gather valuable customer feedback.

Additionally, Ms Yatika Kaewborisut, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Singapore Office, presented an overview of tourism trends and business prospects for Thai entrepreneurs. Her session, “Singapore’s Tourism Market: Opportunities for Thai Entrepreneurs”, focused on market positioning strategies and how Thai businesses can better engage with Singaporean consumers. She encouraged entrepreneurs to undertake thorough preparation and align their offerings with emerging travel and consumer trends to achieve sustainable growth.
