Marking 40 years in Singapore, TCS opens a new AI-powered research hub to foster innovation, skills development, and industry partnerships
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has officially launched its new AI-Powered Research & Innovation Centre in Singapore, further reinforcing its commitment to driving digital transformation and developing local tech talent. The event, held this week, was attended by young graduates and industry leaders, celebrating both TCS’s 40th anniversary in Singapore and 60 years of India–Singapore diplomatic relations.

The new centre is designed to serve as a collaborative platform where startups, academia, and enterprises can co-innovate and co-create scalable AI solutions. These solutions are expected to impact key sectors including finance, retail, and manufacturing, strengthening Singapore’s position as a regional hub for emerging technologies.
In support of the centre’s operations, TCS plans to hire 50 fresh graduates in 2025 for roles in data science, cybersecurity, and other digital specialisations. This initiative is part of the company’s continued investment in Singapore’s talent pipeline and aims to equip locals with in-demand skills through practical learning and strong industry partnerships.
The centre not only underlines TCS’s long-standing presence in Singapore but also aligns with national efforts to build a future-ready workforce and strengthen innovation ecosystems. By fostering hands-on collaboration and skill-building, the centre is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of digital talent and solutions.
