
KSrelief provides essential food baskets to thousands of families in Syria’s Rural Damascus, underscoring ongoing humanitarian commitment.
DAMASCUS, Syria – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributed crucial food baskets to 2,262 families in Rural Damascus on Tuesday, 8 July 2025. This initiative forms a key part of Saudi Arabia’s comprehensive aid distribution project aimed at supporting the Syrian populace.
The distribution reflects Saudi Arabia’s sustained commitment to humanitarian efforts in Syria. These programmes are designed to alleviate the considerable suffering experienced by the Syrian people amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
KSrelief has a long-standing history of providing aid to Syria, with continuous efforts since 2011. The Kingdom’s total aid to Syria from 2011 to the end of 2024 has exceeded $856 million, demonstrating a robust and ongoing commitment.
Beyond its significant focus on Syria, KSrelief actively extends its humanitarian support across the globe. Recent efforts include vital food distributions in Sudan’s White Nile State and in Somalia’s Daynile District, as part of ongoing food security initiatives.
