EVIQ and Blacklane sign a landmark agreement to boost electric vehicle infrastructure and sustainable transport across the Kingdom.
JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia – EVIQ, Saudi Arabia’s national provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, has formalised a strategic agreement with Blacklane. The global leader in chauffeur-driven services aims to accelerate EV deployment and enhance the sustainable mobility ecosystem within the Kingdom. The agreement was signed on July 8, 2025.
This partnership outlines comprehensive cooperation to expand the EV charging network across major Saudi cities and key transportation hubs. It also includes the development of dedicated charging stations specifically for vehicle fleets. A notable addition will be an integrated charging centre at Blacklane’s new regional headquarters for the Arabian Gulf region in Riyadh.
This agreement follows Blacklane’s recent integration of Lucid electric vehicles into its luxury transport fleet in the Kingdom. EVIQ’s extensive public charging infrastructure will now be incorporated into Blacklane’s nationwide operations, ensuring reliable and accessible charging solutions for their fleet.
Both parties will also explore opportunities for system integration. This aims to significantly enhance operational efficiency and improve the overall customer experience. Additionally, the agreement includes the launch of specialised training programmes through the Blacklane Driver Academy, designed to improve driver proficiency in operating EVs and utilising charging infrastructure according to international standards.
Blacklane’s strategic expansion into the Saudi market receives crucial backing from TASARU Mobility Investments. This entity is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), underscoring the Kingdom’s commitment to high-quality investments in the sustainable transportation sector.
