RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Tuwaiq Academy has announced a new technology partnership with Google Cloud, initiating the “3,000 Developers Initiative.” This six-month programme aims to cultivate advanced expertise in cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) among Saudi professionals. The initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to digital transformation and building a skilled national workforce.
The programme will commence later this month and run until the end of the year. It features a blended learning approach, combining in-person bootcamps and professional programmes at Tuwaiq Academy’s main campus in Riyadh with virtual sessions and workshops. Participants will gain practical skills through hands-on application, culminating in professional certifications accredited by Google Cloud.
A key component of the initiative includes a technical hackathon designed to foster innovation. This event will encourage participants to develop advanced cloud solutions using Google Cloud’s global platform. The programme aims to graduate over 700 male and female students from 14 specialised camps and programmes within the six-month period.
This collaboration is a significant step in the ongoing efforts to enhance national capabilities and develop highly skilled professionals in the crucial field of cloud computing. It aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the economy and establish the Kingdom as a leading technological hub in the region.
