The signing ceremony took place at the innovation 4.0 building at the National University of Singapore’s Kent Ridge campus, underscoring the significance of education, research, and international collaboration in advancing digital ambitions.

The MoU was signed by Mr Laurence Liew, Director of AI Innovation at AI Singapore, and H.E. It signals not only a maturing partnership but also a forward-looking approach to building technological resilience and innovation-led economies. Mr Liew reaffirmed Singapore’s support, noting the importance of shared frameworks and the power of AI to enhance lives.

High Commissioner Dissanayake thanked AI Singapore and the National Research Foundation for their support, calling the partnership a meaningful step toward an inclusive digital future. The ceremony was also attended by Professor Mohan Kankanhalli, Deputy Executive Chairman of AI Singapore, Mr James Kok, Head of AIAP-X, and Mr Ahamed Razee, Minister and Head of Chancery at the Sri Lankan High Commission, alongside other dignitaries.
