
Dr Kao Kim Hourn shares insights on ASEAN’s future with participants of the Emerging Leaders Network on the sidelines of regional forum in Singapore
SINGAPORE — Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr Kao Kim Hourn, held an interface session with participants of the Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) programme, organised by the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA). The session took place on the sidelines of the 17th ASEAN and Asia Forum in Singapore.
Dr Kao shared his perspectives on the evolving role of ASEAN and the importance of youth engagement in shaping the region’s strategic direction. He underscored the value of inclusive leadership, encouraging young professionals to contribute to building a stronger, more integrated, and forward-looking ASEAN community.


The Emerging Leaders Network provides a platform for aspiring regional leaders to interact with senior officials and experts, fostering dialogue on contemporary challenges and opportunities within Southeast Asia.
