The Chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force paid an introductory visit to Singapore, reaffirming bilateral defence relations and enhancing cooperation between both air forces.
The Chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), General Dato’ Sri Haji Muhamad Norazlan bin Aris, began his introductory visit to Singapore today, calling on Minister for Defence Mr Chan Chun Sing at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF).
During the meeting, Mr Chan and General Norazlan reaffirmed the longstanding defence ties between Singapore and Malaysia. Both sides highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation and deepening people-to-people connections between the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the RMAF.
As part of his visit, which runs from 19 to 20 August, General Norazlan also called on Chief of Air Force Major-General Kelvin Fan, following an inspection of the Guard of Honour at MINDEF. In recognition of his commitment to fostering closer ties between the two air forces, Major-General Fan presented him with the RSAF Honorary Wings at a ceremony held at MINDEF.

General Norazlan later visited Changi Air Base (East), where he received a briefing and viewed a static display of the A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft. His visit underscores the importance of continued cooperation, which has been strengthened through bilateral exercises such as SAREX MALSING, regular fighter landaways, and various exchanges.
The RSAF and RMAF also collaborate in multilateral settings, including the Five Power Defence Arrangements, contributing to regional stability and security.
