A group of Filipino students from the National University of Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (NUS-LKYSPP) paid a courtesy call on H.E. Medardo G. Macaraig, Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, at the Embassy of the Philippines on 9 September 2025.

During the visit, the students exchanged insights on their academic courses and experiences at NUS-LKYSPP, one of Asia’s leading institutions for public policy studies. The discussion provided an opportunity for students to link their academic learning with real-world perspectives on diplomacy and governance.

Ambassador Macaraig shared his experiences in the Philippine foreign service and encouraged the students to consider taking the Philippine Foreign Service Officer Examination. He emphasised the importance of nurturing the next generation of leaders who can contribute to the country’s international engagement.

The Ambassador also provided an overview of the current Philippine economy and political landscape, underlining key reforms and development initiatives that aim to strengthen the country’s regional and global standing.
