Senior Minister of State Low Yen Ling leads Singapore’s participation at CAEXPO 2025 in Nanning, strengthening trade and cooperation with China and ASEAN.

Nanning, Guangxi, 17 September 2025 – Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Trade and Industry Ms Low Yen Ling is on an official visit to Nanning, Guangxi, China, from 15 to 18 September 2025, where she attended the 22nd China-ASEAN EXPO (CAEXPO) opening ceremony on 17 September 2025 and visited the Singapore National and Commodity Trade Pavilions. SMS Low also met her counterparts and Singapore and Chinese businesses during the trip.

The CAEXPO is an annual trade fair and a key platform to promote bilateral economic cooperation between ASEAN countries and China. Singapore has been an active participant in the CAEXPO and its related activities since 2004.

The Singapore National Pavilion and Commodity Trade Pavilion feature over 20 Singapore companies across technology, finance, transport and logistics, education, food and beverage and travel sectors that are keen to venture further into ASEAN and China. CAEXPO provides the participating Singapore companies with the platform to explore opportunities for collaborations and expansion into these new markets.

SMS Low said, “The CAEXPO serves as an excellent platform for leaders and businesses from ASEAN and China to forge meaningful connections, exchange innovative ideas and explore cooperation opportunities, especially in emerging areas such as digital connectivity and green growth. There is vast potential for deeper economic collaboration between ASEAN and China, and I am confident that ASEAN-China relations will continue to strengthen and flourish for the mutual benefit of our people.”

During her trip, SMS Low also called on Guangxi Party Secretary Chen Gang, where they affirmed the strong ties between Singapore and Guangxi and exchanged views on potential areas for future cooperation.
