Personnel from the Indian Navy presented India’s Submarine Rescue Capability and engaged in operational planning discussions for the forthcoming sea phase in the South China Sea. The exchange allowed India to share expertise while also learning from partner navies on complex undersea rescue procedures.

On the sidelines of the exercise, India’s High Commissioner to Singapore and the Commanding Officer of INS Nistar hosted members of the diplomatic corps for a guided visit. Diplomats were briefed on the Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV) system, considered the cornerstone of India’s sovereign submarine rescue capability.

The visitors also viewed the Saturation Diving Complex with mixed-gas capability, as well as the Shipboard Hospital and Medical Evacuation (MedEvac) facilities. These systems highlighted India’s indigenous shipbuilding capacity and its readiness to provide humanitarian assistance and emergency support at sea.

The exercise and associated activities reflected India’s growing maritime profile in the Indo-Pacific, reinforcing its commitment to safety, self-reliance, and collaborative security in the region.
