
Ambassador Ureerat Chareontoh joined the Thai community on 21 September 2025 at Sembawang Recreation Centre for a day of sports, culture, and unity.
Singapore, 21 September 2025 — The Thai community in Singapore came together for the annual Thai Labour Sports Day 2025, held at Sembawang Recreation Centre and presided over by Her Excellency Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore. Organised by the Office of Labour Affairs in Singapore, the event was designed to encourage Thai workers and their families to embrace healthy lifestyles, nurture mental well-being, and raise awareness of the dangers of substance abuse.

The gathering also served as an important occasion to strengthen unity and friendship within the Thai community in Singapore. The festive atmosphere was marked by a variety of activities, including energetic aerobics, spirited singing contests, tug-of-war, football matches, relay races, traditional games, and recreational challenges. These activities provided participants with opportunities for fun, fitness, and cultural bonding.


Ambassador Ureerat commended the organisers for creating a platform that supports the well-being of Thai workers abroad while also fostering a sense of community and belonging. The event highlighted the significance of sports and shared activities in building resilience and camaraderie, reinforcing the close ties between the Thai Embassy, the Office of Labour Affairs, and the Thai diaspora in Singapore.
