Singapore, 5 November 2025 – The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) hosted a high-level delegation from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Shaanxi at the SMF Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Centre (AMIC), marking the signing of two strategic MOUs to deepen bilateral collaboration in innovation and industry development. The event represents another milestone in strengthening economic ties between Singapore and China, particularly in advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies.

The first agreement, a bilateral MOU between SMF and CCPIT-Shaanxi, was signed by SMF Chief Executive Officer Mr Dennis Mark and CCPIT-Shaanxi Vice President Mr Zheng Jianshe. It aims to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, and industrial collaboration between Singaporean enterprises and Shaanxi Province. This partnership will foster new opportunities for cross-border business growth and technological exchange.

The second, a tripartite MOU between SMF, CCPIT-Shaanxi, and Mozi International Technology Group Pte Ltd, focuses on advancing artificial intelligence (AI) innovation and skills development. The agreement was signed by Mr Dennis Mark, Mr Zheng Jianshe, and Mozi International Chief Executive Officer Ms Cherish Wang. The tripartite partnership seeks to promote AI-related training programmes and workforce development initiatives that will prepare Singapore’s local industries for the transition towards Industry 5.0.

In his opening remarks, SMF President Mr Lennon Tan highlighted the growing economic prospects of Chinese provinces such as Xi’an, Xianyang, and Yan’an, and reaffirmed SMF’s commitment to driving industrial transformation through global partnerships. He emphasised that the agreements symbolise Singapore’s dedication to collaborative innovation, sustainability, and human capital development in manufacturing.

The signing ceremony concluded with both sides reaffirming their shared vision to strengthen regional economic integration and pursue tangible outcomes from these agreements. The partnerships are expected to facilitate joint business ventures, enhance industrial capability-building, and promote sustainable economic development between Singapore and Shaanxi Province.
