Singapore underscored its warm and longstanding friendship with Bangladesh at the Bangladesh Marine Community Singapore (BMCS) Night 2025, held in Singapore. The event brought together members of the Bangladeshi maritime community, industry partners and friends who contribute significantly to Singapore’s maritime sector.

In his remarks, Singapore highlighted the deep historical and people-centred ties between both maritime nations. Bangladesh’s strong pool of skilled and disciplined mariners was acknowledged as a key strength, with many contributing to Singapore’s port operations, shipping services and wider marine industries.
