The Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI) and SME Centre @ SICCI formalised a new partnership with NewWorld Foundry (NWF) during the Singapore FinTech Festival 2025. The collaboration marked a significant step in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore as they navigate digitalisation, financial innovation and regional expansion.

For Singapore, policies on digital transformation, financial inclusion and AI adoption have gained steady momentum, yet many SMEs continue to seek clarity on practical implementation. The partnership with NWF aimed to address this gap by providing structured, hands-on support to help businesses adopt new technologies and scale effectively. The initiative introduced the “Corridor Lab”, a framework that combined policy insights, chamber networks and enterprise-level execution.

Through this collaboration, SICCI and NWF committed to building a Singapore–India–ASEAN innovation corridor designed to help SMEs overcome key barriers such as funding readiness, regulatory navigation, technology adoption and market access. The corridor focused on three core pillars: capacity-building programmes, policy-to-pilot transformation initiatives, and strengthened regional connectivity through SICCI’s extensive enterprise networks.

The partnership aligned with SICCI’s broader mission of enabling SMEs to digitalise confidently, internationalise strategically and build resilience in an increasingly competitive environment. By bridging government policy with industry execution, SICCI positioned itself as a key enabler of enterprise growth. The collaboration also showcased Singapore’s ongoing commitment to supporting SMEs in harnessing fintech, tokenisation, automation and AI-driven solutions.

SICCI announced that applications for the Accelerate Lab 2026 cohort would open soon, supporting 30 SMEs with market access, funding preparedness and digital transformation. With the launch of the Corridor Lab, Singapore signalled its intent to strengthen cross-border innovation, deepen enterprise connectivity and build a more inclusive regional economy for the future.
