The first day of the OFW Serbisyo Caravan opened with energy and enthusiasm at Hilton Orchard Singapore, where Filipino workers and residents gathered to access a wide range of government services brought directly to the community. Organised to provide faster, more convenient assistance to overseas Filipinos, the Caravan brought together various Philippine government agencies offering on-site processing, consultations and support.

Representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Philippine Embassy assisted attendees with passport services (excluding new passport applications for infants), citizenship queries, NBI clearance fingerprinting and civil registration matters such as the Report of Marriage. They also handled the authentication, notarisation and certification of documents, as well as sworn statements and special powers of attorney.

Several major agencies participated to support Filipino workers’ welfare and reintegration needs. OWWA provided membership renewal and verification services, E-Card issuance and mobile app assistance, while DMW-MWO offered reintegration programmes, legal counselling, information on anti-illegal recruitment and trafficking, and verification of employment contracts. PAG-IBIG and SSS were also on site to handle membership registration, account updates, benefit inquiries and loan-related requests.

Health and social protection services were made available through PhilHealth, which facilitated membership updates, dependent declarations, premium payment support and ID issuance. The PSA team assisted with the release of birth, marriage and death certificates as well as CENOMARs. Other agencies, including DSWD, PAO and PRC, provided counselling, legal advice and professional licensing services respectively, while LandBank, NRCO, DTI/PTIC, LTO and DICT extended financial, entrepreneurial, transport and digital services.
