
India’s Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Technology visited the ASEAN-Singapore Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (ASCCE), reaffirming the two countries’ commitment to deepening cooperation in cyber defence and regional digital resilience.
India’s Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Technology, Mr Ashwini Vaishnaw, paid a visit to the ASEAN-Singapore Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (ASCCE) as part of ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral collaboration in cybersecurity. The visit underscored the growing importance of shared digital security priorities between Singapore and India, particularly in the face of evolving regional cyber threats.

Mr Chua Kuan Seah, Deputy Chief Executive (Development) at the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), welcomed the Minister and briefed him on Singapore’s comprehensive cybersecurity frameworks. The presentation highlighted Singapore’s multi-layered approach to safeguarding its critical information infrastructure and the national policies designed to strengthen digital resilience across both public and private sectors.

During the visit, CSA representatives detailed the technological initiatives and capabilities that support Singapore’s broader mission of maintaining a safe and trusted cyberspace. These include ongoing research, operational frameworks, and advanced detection and response systems that underpin CSA’s strategy for managing cyber risks.
The two sides also exchanged insights on cyber policy development, capacity building, and opportunities for operational collaboration. Both countries acknowledged the value of sharing best practices and leveraging their respective technological strengths to better address emerging cyber threats in the region.
Singapore and India have long maintained close cooperation in the cyber domain, supported by regular exchanges, joint programmes, and shared training initiatives. The visit reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening cyber resilience and enhancing regional stability through deeper operational cooperation.
