
The High Commission of India and the National Library Board commemorated six decades of India–Singapore diplomatic ties through a symbolic exchange of more than 60 books
To mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore, the High Commission of India and the National Library Board (NLB) held a book exchange at the Central Public Library today. The exchange involved more than 60 books, symbolising six decades of enduring friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The initiative highlighted the role of literature and knowledge in fostering mutual understanding and cultural appreciation. It also reflected the shared commitment of both nations to promoting education, learning, and people-to-people exchanges.

During the event, the High Commissioner expressed appreciation to Ms Melissa Tam, Chief Executive Officer of the National Library Board, for organising the library tour and facilitating the meaningful cultural exchange. The book exchange concluded as a reminder of the strong and evolving partnership between India and Singapore, rooted in shared values and continued collaboration.
