As 2025 draws to a close, the South African High Commission in Singapore expressed heartfelt appreciation to its partners, community and staff for a year marked by collaboration, innovation and shared success
In an increasingly fast-paced world, the importance of pausing to express gratitude is often overlooked. As the year 2025 approached its conclusion, the South African High Commission (SAHC) in Singapore took the opportunity to reflect on the collective efforts that shaped a productive and meaningful year, while encouraging moments of rest and togetherness with loved ones.
The High Commission conveyed its sincere appreciation to its partners, the vibrant South African community in Singapore, and numerous institutions in both South Africa and Singapore. Their generous contributions of time, energy and resources were instrumental to the Commission’s achievements throughout the year. Without such steadfast support, many of the milestones reached in 2025 would not have been possible.
A special tribute was paid to the dedicated staff of the SAHC in Singapore, whose commitment and service consistently went beyond the call of duty. What began at the start of the year as a shared vision was transformed, through perseverance and teamwork, into tangible outcomes that drew admiration from stakeholders at home and abroad.
Feedback received from local and international partners highlighted that the successful initiatives of 2025 became a catalyst for fresh ideas, meaningful collaborations and strengthened partnerships. These efforts were likened to “multiple rivers in a desert”, reflecting their far-reaching and sustainable impact.
Looking ahead, the High Commission extended its warm wishes for a well-deserved break and continued success in the year to come. Emphasising the value of consistency and perseverance, the message reaffirmed a shared commitment to building on the achievements of 2025 and working towards another successful year for South Africa–Singapore relations.
