SINGAPORE — The Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTARF), General (GEN) Ukris Boontanondha, called on Singapore’s Minister for Defence, Mr Chan Chun Sing, at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) in Singapore.

During the meeting, Mr Chan and General Ukris reaffirmed the close and enduring bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and Thailand, and exchanged views on regional geopolitical developments. The discussions reflected the shared commitment of both countries to maintaining strong defence cooperation and regional stability.

General Ukris is in Singapore from 13 to 15 January 2026 for his introductory visit. As part of the programme, he also called on Singapore’s Chief of Defence Force, Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, following an inspection of a Guard of Honour at MINDEF.
