On 3 February 2026, Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, attended the opening ceremony of the Singapore Airshow 2026. On the occasion, she welcomed Nuttapol Diewvanich, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Defence, who represented Thailand’s Minister of Defence at the event.

The Thai delegation comprised senior representatives from the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, the Royal Thai Army, the Royal Thai Navy, and the Royal Thai Air Force. Their participation reflected Thailand’s strong interest in regional defence cooperation and engagement with international partners.

During the visit, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. and the delegation toured exhibition booths featuring advanced military technologies developed by Singaporean private companies. The showcases highlighted Singapore’s capabilities in defence innovation, aerospace technologies, and security-related solutions.

The delegation also exchanged views with their Singaporean counterparts on developments in defence innovation and the evolving regional security landscape. These discussions provided an opportunity to share perspectives on emerging technologies and their implications for defence cooperation in Southeast Asia.

The engagement at the Singapore Airshow reaffirmed the close defence relationship between Thailand and Singapore, underpinned by ongoing dialogue, professional exchanges, and mutual interest in enhancing regional peace, security, and stability through cooperation and innovation.
