On Friday, 13 February 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, through the Istiqomah Mosque Committee, organised a special gathering to welcome the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H. Held in a serene and reflective atmosphere, the event brought together members of the Embassy family in a spirit of unity and gratitude as they prepared to enter one of the most sacred periods in the Islamic calendar.

The programme commenced with a heartfelt recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Ust. Majab, setting a contemplative tone for the evening. The verses echoed through the prayer hall, inviting attendees to pause, reflect and renew their spiritual intentions ahead of Ramadan. The solemnity of the recitation created a sense of tranquillity and anticipation for the blessed month to come.

The gathering continued with a religious lecture delivered by Ust. Abdul Munim Ritonga, entitled “Happiness in Welcoming the Holy Month of Ramadan.” In his address, he emphasised the importance of embracing Ramadan with sincere joy, gratitude and preparedness. He reminded participants that Ramadan is not only a time of fasting, but also a valuable opportunity for self-improvement, strengthened faith and deeper compassion towards others.

The event concluded with a communal prayer, seeking blessings, peace and joy throughout Ramadan 1447 H. The collective supplication reflected the Embassy community’s hope for a month filled with spiritual growth, harmony and renewed devotion. Through initiatives such as this, the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore continues to foster togetherness and reinforce the spiritual values that unite its community abroad.
