The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, addressed members of the Indian community in Singapore, presenting Uttar Pradesh as a key investment destination and outlining the state’s development priorities during the first day of his official visit on Monday.

The interaction formed part of Chief Minister Adityanath’s official engagements in Singapore, aimed at strengthening economic, cultural, and people-to-people ties with the Indian diaspora, while highlighting governance reforms and infrastructure growth underway in Uttar Pradesh.

The programme was attended by members of the Indian community, business leaders, and institutional representatives, and was held alongside a series of high-level meetings during the Chief Minister’s visit. The visit followed recent outreach activities organised by the High Commission of India, including the celebration of Uttar Pradesh Diwas in Singapore, reflecting sustained engagement with the state and its diaspora.

Addressing the engagememt, the Chief Minister emphasised India’s civilisational foundations and values-driven development model. “Our values have been formed on a profound foundation. We move forward by learning from our past actions. This is India — and India’s traditions are rooted in deep moral values that guide humanity forward,” he said.

Referring to the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the Chief Minister said that India has for centuries believed in the idea that the world is one family, and that progress must be inclusive and beneficial to all. He emphasised that development extends beyond economic indicators and should positively impact individuals and communities, with every citizen contributing to the nation’s advancement.

On foreign relations, the Chief Minister said that India continues to advocate cooperation, peace, and mutual respect at a time of global uncertainty. He noted that India seeks partnerships rather than dominance, and collaboration rather than control, and remains committed to working with countries across regions on shared paths of progress.

Speaking at the event, Shilpak N. Ambule, High Commissioner of India to Singapore, described the visit as significant for both Uttar Pradesh and Singapore. “It is a very important visit from the Chief Minister of India to Singapore. Since his arrival, he has been engaged in a series of back-to-back meetings,” he said, referring to scheduled interactions with Singapore’s leadership.

As part of discussions on education and skills development, Atul Temurnikar, Founder and Chairman of Global Schools Group, was invited to explore collaboration opportunities in schooling and skilling initiatives in Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister also highlighted ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects in the state, including expressways, metro systems, and airport development, noting that a new international airport is expected to be inaugurated in the coming month.

The interaction concluded with an emphasis on continued engagement with the Indian diaspora and international partners, as Uttar Pradesh seeks to expand investment, strengthen institutional cooperation, and align its development trajectory with India’s broader national and global aspirations.
